ROTT N CHATTER, August 1992, Volume 1 Number 1 A LETTER OF INTRODUCTION Well folks, it took a long time for me to make the committment, but with the support and help of many, many friends, especially Bill Lavender whose technical advice and support made it possible and a very understanding family, you are now reading the first issue of the Rott N Chatter. With continued support and input from you this will be the start of many years of sharing and exchanging ideas and stories about training, breeding, medicine and most of all, loving our wonderful Rottweilers from puppies through adulthood. The Rott N Chatter will be comprised of eight pages, so I can keep it affordable and not overwhelm even the most timid of readers. Since other publications have time constraints before they can get new information out, I will attempt to 'stay up' on current medical and other releases that may relate to our dogs and therefore get the news to you first. Some specific columns will include: THE CHATTER BOX (sharing stories and ideas) WHERE'S THE BEEF! (a place to voice your complaints, be it about breeders, clubs, trainers, legislators, etc.) CHEERS & TEARS (prose and poetry) THE DOCTOR'S BAG by Gaea Mitchel D.V.M. (questions/answers and articles on Veterinary medicine) JUST A ROTT N NOTE (letters to the editor) TRAINING TIPS OF THE MONTH (questions/answers/what worked for you) In order for me to cover as much information as possible during the month it is important that YOU let me know about things like Legislation in YOUR area, new treatment by YOUR Veterinarian, and new training tips that YOU have found. I want the Rott N Chatter to be YOUR newsletter! So, write me and share your stories and extra photographs. There will be no advertising of dogs or products and since a Rottweiler does not need a Title to be special in our hearts, we will use only call names. Finally, I promise to promote, solicit and maintain the highest in moral and ethical responsibility not only to my Rottweilers or your Rottweilers, but ALL ROTTWEILERS! jan cooper Editor
